HMB Squares

Good Morning Everyone. To my shock and amazement when I was de-cluttering my crochet space this weekend I counted my squares and found out that I had 5 squares complete for HMB!!! :D:D:D I'm going to post four though because the fifth one I have issues with. I must have been crocheting it in my sleep because the size is all funky. Kind of wider on the bottom than on top. I might give it to Monster Toddler Girl as a blanket for one of her dolls. Anyway...here they are.



Hopefully I can get these all in tomorrows mail so I can go on vacation without worrying about it.

~~~sigh~~~~ Only 3 days of work left. Now if I could only get my house cleaned and the kids packed I might actually *get* to leave on Friday. :D:D Tahoe here I come! :D:D

Sump'ins Up

Can't quite put my finger on it either...hmmm...

LOL! hehehe I'm being silly and referring to my blog's new look. What do you think? Doesn't make my butt look too big does it? I find it very slimming in the waist...hehehe..ok ok..I'll stop. :P

Well, I joined my very first "Crochet Along" this week. It's Vera's Flower Power CAL and I'm quite excited about it! :D:D I've ordered the yarn. You can see a sample here. I got the "Claret" color. I think I did alright on matching the yarn guage. This might be a bit larger than the pattern calls for, but that's fine by me. I'm not much of a guage person anyway. (of course that might come back to bite me in the butt when this thing comes out huge - LOL) One thing to note, I'm thinking of making this for me which is amazing because it's a really different style for me and I never crochet for me.

No progress on the Mystery Item and honestly it's starting to bug me. Just sits there...unfinished and reproachfull. UGH. Well, I'm planning on getting my sewing machine out this weekend to finish some clothes for Monster Toddler Girl so I'm hopefull that I'll get the zipper put on the Mystery Item this weekend too. The only other crocheting I've been doing are squares. I've gotten 4.75 done this week.

On other fronts. I'm getting my hair chopped off on Saturday. Have an appointment with a swanky salon in uptown and everything. I'm expecting to cut about 8 inches off. If I'm feeling really brave maybe I'll post a before and after pic. Also getting really excited about our vacation that is up and coming. I can't wait to see my lake! I've missed it so....{insert dreamy sigh here}

Bad blogger...BAD!

Ok - I'm a bad bad bad bad blog host and feeling the guilt. Last friday I promised I'd have a pic of my Mystery item and I still don't have it done yet. My nice holiday weekend was overrun with guests and I just didn't get as much as I planned done. I will do my best to get it done this weekend though.

As pennance I will do this...if anyone can guess what the Mystery Item is, I'll send you a brand new package of Yarn Bras as a prize. MKJ - you are not allowed to guess since I already told you what it is.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments on my squares. :D I'm glad y'all like them. It's so fun to have all this feedback on stuff I'm doing. I really don't have any friends who crochet (despite my best efforts teach them) so I really appreciate you guys!!! :D:D
